Petrochemical industry emissions could rise 50% by 2050: Study
Global petrochemical emissions could surge about 50% by 2050, from roughly 2 GtCO2e in 2023 to 3 GtCO2e, under a business-as-usual path. A Nature Sustainability study maps 37,379 facilities and finds 10% of plants drive over half of emissions.
