BOTAŞ (Boru Hatları ile Petrol Taşıma A.Ş.) is a state-owned crude oil and natural gas pipeline company headquartered in Ankara, Türkiye. It operates and maintains the country's main oil and natural gas pipelines, including the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) crude oil pipeline within Turkish territory, and is responsible for the transportation and trade of natural gas through its extensive pipeline network. The company plays a central role in Türkiye's energy infrastructure, connecting domestic and international energy markets, and also engages in the import, export, and wholesale of natural gas. As a major regional energy logistics and transportation entity, BOTAŞ is a key player in the European and Middle Eastern energy corridors, with a strong state-backed position and strategic importance for supply security.
